VOLUNTEERS PLANT TREES IN THE CITY OF MCKEESPORT

Tree-tenders and other volunteers didn’t let April showers hold them back from planting trees along Market Street and in Renzie Park this weekend. Through the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and TreeVitalize Pittsburgh, McKeesport received a variety of shade trees and utility friendly flowering trees. Focusing on the “right tree in the right place,” oaks, elms, crabapples, flowering cherries, flowering lilac, black tupelo, and gingko were added to the city’s landscape. City of McKeesp...
