Wildfire brought under control

Stockdale firefighters spent nearly three hours Thursday battling a wildland fire rapidly spreading in the area of Sloan Road in Allenport. When firefighters arrived on scene shortly after 5 p.m., they discovered the fires were closer to Mt. Tabor Road in Long Brach. With the help of Roscoe firefighters, crews operated for roughly two and a half hours stopping the spread, putting out hot spots and extinguishing the fire. Stockdale VFD
