Christine M. Loutitt – Monongahela

Christine M. Loutitt, 59, of Monongahela, passed away peacefully with her husband and brother by her side on Friday, March 7, 2025, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 29, 1965, in North Charleroi, daughter of the late Edward J. and Josephine Bona Matay. For several years, Christine was employed as a baker at the former Ponderosa in Belle Vernon. After working, she became a housewife and loved staying at home with her family and her cats. She enjoyed camping with the family and bowling with her husband, Rich. Christine was Catholic by faith. She is survived by her husband, Richard Loutitt, with whom she celebrated 28 years of marriage on Sept. 24, 2024; brother, Mark (Barbara) Matay of Rostraver Township; niece, Erica (Dylan) Roush; mother-in-law, Frances “Pooch” Loutitt of Monongahela. Christine comes from a large, loving family. Also surviving are an aunt, uncle and numerous cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or to Mon Valley Paws, P.O.
