William G. Johnson – Daisytown

William G. Johnson, 83, of Daisytown, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025. The son of the late Isaac T. Johnson and Elizabeth L. Solomon Johnson, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald A. Johnson; a brother-in-law, Oliver B. (Victoria) West; and brotherin- law, Charles Moore. A 1959 graduate of California Area High School, he also attended Vale Tech. A mechanic by trade, over the years, he had been employed by Guttman Oil, Lee Norse and Mariana Mine. William also had a family-run dairy farm. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda G. West Johnson; daughter, Rhonda L. (James) Timlin; son, Brett W. (Jo Ellen) Johnson; granddaughter, Jaycee Johnson; sister-in-law, Norma (Bradley) Baker; brotherin- law, Gregg (Sharon) West; sister-in-law, Barbara Moore; three stepchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the staff of OSPTA Hospice and Mount St. Macrina Manor nursing home for their outstanding care and compassion. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-9295300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory. com. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Ord officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery in Brownsville.
