John Joseph Kemenovich – Long Branch

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Joseph Kemenovich, who left us peacefully on Feb. 11, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on Saturday, Jan. 7, 1939, in Long Branch, Pa. John lived a full life; he was known for his hard work and dedication as a steelworker at J&L Steel in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Kemenovich. He was a member of Laurel Lodge No. 657 F.&A.M. of Cleveland, Ohio. John is survived by his beloved son, Joseph Kemenovich; and his loving sisters, Mary Elaine Lucas and Bernedette Widziszewski. He will be remembered not just for his hard work in the steel mill, but also for the kindness and warmth he shared with those around him. In honor of John’s life, friends and family will be received at MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., California, Pa., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Amory Merriman, officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Long Branch, Pa. John will be missed dearly, but his legacy will live on through the stories and memories shared by his family and friends.
