Ruth A. Evans – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP RuthA. Evans, 96, of Rostraver Township, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025. Born in Dono r a on March 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Homer M. and Edna (Ries) Staley. Ruth worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and switchboard operator for Fox Groceries. She was an active member of Perryopolis Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Paul L. (Cindy) Evans of Rostraver Township and Larry E. (Carolyn) Evans of Verona, Pa.; grandchildren, Lori O’Farrill and Heather (Mark) DiPiazza; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Calleigh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Paul Evans; and siblings, Ralph J. Staley, Wendell A. Staley and Betty Alexander. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome. com., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Simeon Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Perryopolis Baptist Church www.perryopolisbaptistchurch. org or the charity of one’s choice.
