Shirley Indof Podvia – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Shirley Indof Podvia, 87, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025. Born i n Rostraver Township on Feb. 21, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Madge L. Earley Indof. Shirley was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the church choir and was a leader for the Methodist Youth Fellowship. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Rostraver Reunion Committee and was a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning and traveling to Florida. Shirley loved family gatherings and was chairperson of the Indof Family Reunion Committee. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Harry F. Podvia; daughters, Pamela (Vincent) Belczyk of Rostraver, and Debra Woss of Rostraver; son-in-law, Thomas Byerly of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley (Parker) Napierkowski, Collin Woss (Christine Esmond), Elissa (Chase) Fetterman, Ryan (Dana) Belczyk, Aleah Belczyk (Jason Sebecic), Katie Byerly and Emilio Byerly; great-grandchildren, Hayden Woss, Brayson Fetterman, Ryker Fetterman and Shirley was anxiously awaiting the birth of her great-grandson, Trent Fetterman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Byerly; son-in-law, Charles Woss; and siblings, Elinor Povirk, Vernon Indof, Alfaretta Leeper and Frank Indof. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www. jamesstumpfuneralhome. com, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Sandra E. Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
