Cecilia R. Chambers

NOV. 28, 1938 - JAN. 13, 2025 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Cecilia R. “Sheila” Chambers, who departed this life on Jan. 13, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on Nov. 28, 1938, in Elco, Pa., Sheila lived a life devoted to family and community. Sheila is remembered for her unwavering commitment to her profession and her ability to foster a warm and welcoming environment at work and at church, where she was respected and cherished by colleagues and friends alike. Her dedication and work ethic were exemplary, setting a standard for those fortunate enough to know her. In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry “Elco” Roberts and John Roberts. She is survived by her beloved siblings, sister, Michelle “Shelly” Roberts; and brothers and sisters-inlaw, Joseph and Mary Louise Roberts and Richard and Michelle Roberts. Throughout her life, Sheila maintained strong family ties, cherishing the time spent with her loved ones. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service in honor of Sheila will be announced in the near future. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to California Methodist Church, P.O. Box 426, California, PA 15419 in Sheila’s memory, reflecting her generous spirit and love for her church and community. Sheila’s profound impact on those around her will always be remembered, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
