Rev. Barry W. Miller – formerly of Belle Vernon

FORMERLY OF BELLE VERNON The Rev. Barry W. Miller, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2024. He was born in Mon essen o n March 15, 1939. He was raised in Belle Vernon and was the son of the late Charles “Chuck” and Olga “Gigi” Miller. Barry was a graduate of Bellmar High School, Class of 1957, and Penn State University, Class of 1961. He attended the General Theological Seminary in New York City in 1966. He worked for various corporations in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut as an organizational development manager. Barry was ordained in 1966 as a deacon priest of the Episcopal Church in Rome, N.Y., and served parishes in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Virginia and California. He was an officer of the National Network of the Episcopal Clergy Association and a minister of the faculty of the Interim Ministry Network. Barry was responsible for the training of many clergies of various denominations of the ministry including Jewish rabbis. He is survived by his first wife, Annette Prudhon Crane; twin sons, Gregory Miller (Brenda Blais) of North Carolina and Andrew Miller of Virginia; granddaughters, Meghan and Jessica Miller of Virginia; and a sister, Nancy Miller McKenna of Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife the Rev. Ann Stoughton Charles Miller. Arrangements were handled in Southport, N.C.
