Joseph Haller – Pittsburgh, formerly of Donora

PITTSBURGH, FORMERLY OF DONORA Joseph Haller, 92, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Donora, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at Celebration Villa of South Hills in Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Donora, son of the late Sam Haller and the late Barbara Spehar Haller. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Joseph served in the Army Signal Corps in Germany during the Korean War era. He was employed by U.S. Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin. Joseph was the “go-to” man of the family, known for his practical knowledge of house construction and guidance on good home maintenance. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Rose; and his brothers, Anthony Haller, John Haller and Nicholas Haller. Surviving to cherish his memory are his sister, Kathryn Haller; and his nieces and nephews, Rose Marie (John) Patterson of Texas, Joanne (Paul) Hasskamp of Jefferson Hills, Diane (John) Francis of Bridgeville, Pa., Dave (Shelly) Haller of New York, Nicholas (Kelli) Haller of Allison Park, Pa., Daniel (Christa) Haller of North Carolina and Marianne Wade of Cranberry Township, Pa.
