Crash on Charleroi-Monessen bridge

At least one person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital following a two-vehicle crash shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday on the Charleroi-Monessen bridge. Firefighters from Monessen No. 1 and Charleroi had to use extrication tools to free one of the occupants of the vehicles. The patient was transferred over to the care of Mon Valley EMS and then transported by medical helicopter. Monessen No. 1 Fire Department
