Shawn F. Pullion – South Greensburg

SOUTH GREENSBURG Shawn F. Pullion, 67, of South Greensburg, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at his home after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Charleroi on Dec. 4, 1957, a son of the late Joseph T. Pullion Sr. and Shirley Lewis Pullion. Shawn was a graduate of Charleroi Area High School in 1976, where he excelled in football, and graduated from California State College in 1980 majoring in Industrial Arts Education. Prior to retirement, Shawn worked as a warehouse manager for SuperValu and Schneider’s Dairy. Shawn loved being with his family, and especially spending time with his granddaughter. He was a craftsman and prided himself on being able to fix just about anything. He enjoyed helping others out whenever he could. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gordon L. Carlson. Shawn is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Carlson Pullion; his daughter, Kelsey M. Pullion (fiancé Timothy Lucas); and his beloved granddaughter, Audrey Mae Lucas; two brothers, Drew Pullion (Suzanne) and Joseph T. “TJ” Pullion Jr. (Cathy); sister, Beth Pullion; sisters-in-law and brothersin- law, Sheila and Chuck Fear and Jim and Nancy Lundy; mother-in-law, Dolores Carlson; nephews, Justin, Drew Jr., Christopher and Jimmy; nieces, Collette, Chelsea, Taylor and Amanda; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Per Shawn’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Shawn’s life is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are being handled by KEPPLE- GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, Greensburg. We would also like to say a huge thank you to the hospice nurses from UPMC Family Hospice, the doctors and nurses from Hillman Medical Oncology, Hillman Radiation Oncology and Palliative Care in Monroeville who were on this journey with us.
