Donna Rae Greenawalt – Rostraver Township

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Donna Rae Greenawalt, 81, of Rostraver Township, peacefully passed away sur rounded by her loving children in her home on the afternoon of Dec. 8, 2024. Born in Perryopolis on Aug. 28, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Dorothy Naylor Erdely. Donna leaves us to be reunited with her beloved husband of 38 years, Ronald W. Greenawalt. Donna was a woman of deep Christian faith. She was a member of Star Junction Baptist Church and regularly attended services at Olive Branch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. She wholeheartedly cherished her religious community and looked forward to attending their social events. Idle time was infrequent for Donna. Even in recent months she traveled with siblings, children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening, camping, shopping and her endless pursuit to operate her iPad independently. She worked 25-plus years as a caregiver providing love and comfort to patients and their families alike. Many special bonds were formed from this role. Although extremely emotionally taxing, she felt rewarded by knowing how profound of an impact she had working with seniors who depended on her care. Left to miss her dearly are her four children, Ben Crawford, Wayne (Carlene) Crawford, Kim Brundage (fiancé, Bruce Biagini) and Leighann (Marc) Brokenbek; stepchildren, Ronald (Mary Beth) Greenawalt Jr., Dave (Wanda) Greenawalt, Timothy (Dawn) Greenawalt, Kelley Harash and Chad Greenawalt. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Brandon Crawford, Luke Crawford, Kady Crawford, Ryon Crawford, Tonya Crawford (fiancé, Jason Chiera), Srey (Garrett) Arnold, Megan Crawford (fiancé Brad Poling), Jacob (Mary) Brundage, Isaac Brokenbek and Cianna Brokenbek; and two great-grandchildren. She was masterful in staying in close contact with her grandchildren and prideful of their accomplishments. Donna is also survived by her siblings, Jean (Jim) Pavucsko, Barry (Elaine) Erdely, Roge Erdely (Sharon) and Kathy Erdely.
