First responders honored for heroism by association

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs Association annual awards and honors banquet was held Nov. 20 at the Olive Garden restaurant in Uniontown. During the event, lapel valor pins and certificates were awarded to 11 firefighters for going over and above to perform heroic rescues of entrapped people from four different structure fires in the area.
