‘Eyesore’ to be torn down in White Oak

Council agreed to give the owner until January to find a new place to live.

White Oak council held a hearing before Monday’s meeting to determine as to whether to authorize the condemnation and demolition of a structure at 1139 California Ave.

Representatives of the borough inspected the property and determined it is dangerous and a public nuisance, according to the borough’s solicitor Ashley Puchalski. The current owners are Charles and Eleanor Linn.
