Garbage rates to rise in North Belle Vernon

The Mon Valley Refuse Authority recently agreed to a deal with a new sanitation provider.

North Belle Vernon residents won’t see an increase in their tax bills next year, but the same can’t be said about their garbage.

The borough operates under the Mon Valley Refuse Authority, which recently awarded its 2025-27 garbage contract to ProWaste LLC.

The current deal with County Hauling expires Dec. 31.
