• Buzzy Byron was considering taking legal action against the City of Monessen over hiring a plumbing inspector. Monessen council accepted the resignation of Angelo Loulis and hired Glen Godla of Charleroi to replace him. But Byron, a Monessen businessman, said that while Loulis was paid a salary by the city, the two men shared the work. “I am the other inspector even though I was never paid a penny.” Byron who feels he was next in line for the job saying, “Why should we go outside of Monessen to hire a plumbing inspector when we have plenty of plumbing inspectors right here.”
