ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP Larry Frolo, 84, of New Eagle, formerly of Collinsburg/ Rostraver Township, passed away in Penn Highlands Mon Va l l e y Hospital on Mond a y , Sept. 16, 2024, with his family by his side. Born on June 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Antonio and Mary Mongelluzzo Frolo. Born and raised in Monessen, he graduated from Monessen High School with the Class of 1958. After graduation, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea (Vietnam era). In his younger years, Larry enjoyed working on cars, bowling and going to stock car races. Larry was retired from Bergen Power Pipe Supports, where he was a machinist by trade. He was an active lifetime member of the Collinsburg Volunteer Fire Department and formerly served as fire chief. He is survived by his son, Robert Frolo of Monroeville; daughter, Christine (Edward) Owings of New Eagle; grandson, William Beaman of New Eagle; sisters-in-law; Cynthia Frolo of Hampton, N.H., Dorothy Behanna of Harker Heights, Texas, Doris Baka of Charleroi and Sharon Baka of New Castle; brother-inlaw, Joseph (Bonnie) Baka of Leechburg; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Eileen V. Baka Frolo in 2009; a granddaughter, Amber Beaman of New Eagle; and a brother, Thomas Frolo of Hampton, N.H. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome. com, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday with Pastor Jude Urso officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park. The Collinsburg Volunteer Fire Company will conduct a service in the funeral home at 6 p.m. Sunday.
