Assault alleged on pregnant woman
A woman is accused of attacking a pregnant woman in Monessen.
A mother called 911 requesting to speak with an officer while her daughter was in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital following an assault.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim, who is five months pregnant, was at a home on Short Street with friends Sept. 10.
An officer was informed numerous people at the home were drinking, except for the victim.
Around 8 p.m., the victim and Brooke Linn allegedly got into a verbal argument outside the home. According to the victim, Linn tried to get physical with her.
The victim said she pushed Linn away, and Linn fell to the ground. Linn then allegedly kicked her four times in the stomach.
When Linn got off the ground, the victim told authorities she started “swinging at everyone.”
Linn is charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. The charges were filed Friday at the Monessen office of Magisterial District Judge Wayne Vlasic.
