Brothers with multiple warrants including child rape arrested

By the MVI

Two brothers with multiple warrants, including a warrant for rape of a child, were taken into custody by Allegheny County Sheriff’s deputies.

Detectives from the sheriff’s office obtained information this week that 23-year-old Conroy Salmon and 22-year-old Cameron Salmon were inside a residence along Gearing Avenue in Pittsburgh.

Conroy Salmon has an active warrant out of West Mifflin from December 2023, in which he is charged with four counts of rape and other sexual assault charges involving two juveniles who told police that Conroy Salmon had sexually assaulted them approximately five years ago.

Conroy Salmon also has an active bench warrant for a prob ation violation involving a burglary case.

Cameron Salmon has two active bench warrants involving probation violations concerning a firearms charge and a flight to avoid apprehension charge. He also has two active warrants out of McKeesport and Pitcairn involving charges of fleeing a police officer by stealing a U-Haul and terroristic threats.

When detectives and uniformed deputies approached the residence earlier this week, they could immediately hear movement inside after ann ouncing their presence. The noise appeared to indicate multiple people running upstairs. Detectives continued to hear the noises for approximately 25 minutes while waiting at the door. They subsequently breached the door and during a sweep of the residence, discovered both brothers in an upstairs room.

Cameron and Conroy Salmon were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
