Crash in Elizabeth Borough
Two people were taken to area hospitals following a one-vehicle car crash into a utility pole early Wednesday morning. Elizabeth Borough fire Chief Chad Rager, who was on the scene, said the crash occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Center Avenue in Elizabeth Borough. “It was a bigger pole, so it took the hit,” Rager said. “When we got to the scene, we had two patients out of the car and one was still in the back seat, and they had some trauma injuries.” Southeast Regional EMS was also on the scene and two of the patients were transported to medical centers with one flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. The crash is being investigated by Elizabeth Township police.
