Fire tears through abandoned house in Charleroi

Firefighters were called to a structure fire at an abandoned home near the intersection of 10th Street and Oakland Avenue in Charleroi around 3 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, the roof was fully engulfed and flames were shooting at least 10 feet into the sky. It appeared the second floor of the two-story home was filled with fire and smoke. Crews remained on scene for several hours, and no injuries were reported.
