James A. Sichi – North Belle Vernon

NORTH BELLE VERNON James A. Sichi, 82, of North Belle Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024. A son of the late Edward and Lena McCune Sichi, he was born in North Charleroi on July 27, 1942. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Jim was a member of the Belle Vernon Musical Society, the Russian Club, and a life member of the former Charleroi VFW Post 167. He had served with the Air National Guard for over 27 years as a master sergeant and as an in-flight refueling specialist, retiring in 1997. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Eric Kostelac of Belle Vernon; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Theresa Sichi of Twilight; three grandchildren, Eric (Marlyn) Kostelac II of Belle Vernon, Sage Kostelac of Belle Vernon and Jacob Sichi of Twilight; a brother and sister- in-law, John and Judy Sichi of Belle Vernon, a sisterin- law and brother-in-law, Becky and Mike Gillock of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Sterner Sichi on Dec. 10, 2019, and a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Linda Sichi. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory. com. A funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor Dave Watson officiating.
