Mildred Jean Lorinchak Livingstone

Mildred Jean Lorinchak Livingstone, 95, beloved wife, caring and compassionate mother and grandmother, cherished friend, pianist extraordinaire and exemplary Christian passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born May 29, 1929, the second daughter of Andrew and Kathryn Lloyd Lorinchak. Jean, as she was affectionately known, lived her entire life serving God and her family. At age 12, she started playing the piano at the Fayette City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and continued to play in church for the next 83 years. She played not only for all the services and activities at church, but also for family events, weddings and anytime anyone would ask her. Never having a piano lesson, her piano playing was truly a blessing from God, and it was her life! A devoted, born-again Christian, she was a shining example of Christian faith and service. She cherished her family and loved to plan and host the family get-togethers, celebrating holidays, birthdays, special occasions, or nothing at all! Family was her life, her love and greatest joy! She loved God with all her heart and was always willing to help in any capacity, always with a big smile and an infectious, joyous attitude. Jean was a member of the Fayette City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for many years and most recently, Grace Baptist Church in Grindstone. She exemplified Christian love and service. She was a dedicated Christian woman, always serving and praying for the needs of her family and church. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Sheridan “Bodie”; her son, Sheridan; and sisters, Betty, Kay and Judy. She is survived by her brother, Ed and wife Marianne; brother Andrew “Sonny” and wife Nola; her children, son, Tim and wife Daphne, and daughter, Jan and husband Doug Booth; grandsons, Timothy and wife Kerry Livingstone and Andrew Booth; granddaughters, Mandy, Shelly, Erica and Andrea; her grand dog, Marley; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Also left to cherish her memory are many friends who were like family to her. Her life was a testimony of love of God, love of faith, and love of family. Psalms 116:15 was one of her favorite verses: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
