Rose E. Johnson – Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Speers

Rose E. Johnson, 88, passed away on April 23, 2024. She was born on July 16, 1935, in Oliphant, Pa., daughter of the late Edm ond and Paul ine Burke. Rose was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1953. She lived in Sarasota, Fla., for the last 20 years and previously in Speers, Pa. She was a former member of the Charleroi Presbyterian Church and most recently a member of the New Beginnings Community Church in Sarasota. She taught Sunday school to both elementary and adult students in both churches. Rose will be remembered for all the social activities in the churches and being very active as a Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years. She was a very social person and she loved people and had neighbors and friends for dinner continually. She had a true gift for making people feel loved, appreciated and welcomed.
