Rhys Juwan Taylor – Donora

Rhys Juwan Taylor, 24, of Donora, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1999, to Michael Frost Sr. of Pittsburgh, and Cari Lyn Taylor of Donora. Rhys was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Class of 2018, and he played football for the Donora Dragons when they merged with Monongahela. He was the president of the Donora Volunteer Fire Department and also worked as an emergency medical technician and state constable. He was chosen Man of the Year for the A.V.B.A. and was the audio and visual technician at his church, First Baptist Church. Rhys was an excellent cook and was always preparing special meals for his family and friends. He was a very loving and compassionate person. He was always there for anyone in need, family or not. His smile was contagious and his personality was endearing. In addition to his parents, Michael Frost Sr. and Cari Lyn Taylor, he leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Yasmine Taylor of Donora, and Lanai Frost, Maya Frost, Tierra Frost and Lacey Frost, all of Pittsburgh; brothers, Tyler Frost, Tyhir Frost, Christopher Gaston and Michael Frost Jr., all of Pittsburgh; his godparents, Anthony Bristol, Trudy Taylor, Jennifer Love and Wanda Sawyer; special uncle and bestie, Edwin Love, and uncles, William Clark, Jason Clark, Bryan Clark, Bernard Clark III and Clarence Pettyjohn; special aunts, Nancy Taylor, Monique Brown, Darlene Ramey, Anita Burton, Sabrina Coughenaur and Anita Elaine Mitchell; grandmother, Catherine Clark; and great-grandmother, Shirley Taylor. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Phillip Mills and Bernard Clark Jr.; and grandmothers, Fern Taylor and Judy Frost. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Sixth Street and Allen Avenue in Donora. Closed-casket funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Ringgold High School to be followed by a fire truck procession. Arrangements have been entrusted to WILLIAM R.
