Ronald L. Rohm – West Newton

Ronald L. Rohm, 84, of West Newton, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Born in Isabella on July 31, 1939, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Beryl Abbott Rohm. Ronald was a retired engineer from CSX Railroad and was a member of First Baptist Church in West Newton, where he served as deacon. He was a former member of the West Newton Lions Club. Ronald loved to do jigsaw puzzles and play hand and foot card games with his family. He enjoyed fishing and going on fishing trips to Canada with his best friend, Bruce. Ronald enjoyed working in his shed and his woodshop and specialized in making crosses. He made hundreds that he gave to people all over the United States. Ronald was a kind and thoughtful man who touched many, many people in his lifetime. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Carole Stevens Rohm; and daughters, Kathy Rohm and Patricia Rohm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Rohm and Charles Rohm. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www. jamesstumpfuneralhome. com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Glen Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Memorial Gift Fund, c/o Robert Allen, P.O. Box 304, West Newton, PA 15089.
