Esau M ‘Brownie’ Albert – Carroll Township

Esau M “Brownie” Albert, 92, of Carroll Township, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born May 1, 1932, in Donora, son of the late Michael Albert and Catherine Joseph Albert. Esau is a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in Korea. He received the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and the ROK Presidential Unit Citation. In addition to his parents, Esau was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Lazzari Albert; four sisters, Rose Tominello, Sadie Urban, Minnie Kucia and Elizabeth Albert; and three brothers, Michael Albert, George Albert and Younan Salim. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Vicki (Dan Noel) Wyvratt of Carroll Township, and Ken (Tammy) Albert of Fallowfield Township; four grandchildren, Brad (Shannon) Wyvratt, Brandon (Emily) Wyvratt, Maggie Albert and Maisie Albert; two great-grandchildren, Zoie and Noah Wyvratt; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Funeral service will be at Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc. at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, with Father Robert Hanna officiating. Interment will be at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora. Full military rites to be accorded by the Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
