Nancy J. Hoffman – Rostraver Township

Nancy J. Hoffman, 86, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, June 7, 2024. Born in McKeesport on Dec. 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Elizabeth Mae Girard Whittington. Nancy was a retired school teacher from the West Jefferson Hills School District and attended Gospel Alliance Church in Rostraver. In her younger years, she was a member of The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and the Order of the Eastern Star Pennsylvania. She enjoyed reading and loved spending time outdoors, sitting in the sun. Nancy lived for her children and grandchildren and felt that her time was more important to be spent with her family. She is survived by her children, Debra Mae (David) Zora of Rostraver, Jay William (Lara) Hoffman of Memphis, Tenn., Robert (Amy) Hoffman of Rostraver and David Girard (Jamie) Hoffman of Rostraver; grandchildren, Jayson, Derek, Jonathan, Sarah, Brady, Logan, Madison, Austin and Connor; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Avery; and nieces and nephews, Scott Smith, Susan Fowler, Timothy Mc-Grail, Sean McGrail, Karen Kardos, Gail Struble and Sandy Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jay Hoffman, in 2022; sisters, Elizabeth Mae Mc-Grail and Shirley Francis Smith; and niece, Beth Mc-Grail.
