Esper Nasim – Donora

Esper Nasim, 82, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home in Donora. He was born in Donora, on May 15, 1942, son of the late Elias Nasim and Hapsey Esper Nasim. Esper was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate (J) 2/c on the USS Forrestal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Abdo Nasim and Abraham “Abe” Nasim. Surviving to cherish his memory are his nieces, Diana Broggi, Nadine Smith and Renee Lafferman; several cousins, great-nieces, greatnephews and his many friends. Arrangements are being handled by ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 6, 2024. A funeral service will be at the funeral home at noon with the Rev. Father Stephan Gresh and Cantor Peter Merella officiating. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora.
