Encapera camps approaching

Penn State Fayette head baseball coach Ryan Encapera is once again bringing his Coach Encapera Baseball Camps to the region.

The first camp will be held at the Di-Virgilio Sports Complex in Rostraver June 17-19.

Camps are for baseball players ages 6 to 14. There is a $100 registration fee per camper, which includes three days of instruction from a variety of coaches and a camp hat.

Other camps will be held at King Coal Ballfields in Carmichaels July 8 to 10 and Hutchinson Park in Hopwood July 15-17.

BVA baseball hosting Little Leps Baseball Camp

The Belle Vernon Area baseball team will host the 2024 Little Leps Baseball Camp June 3-5 at the DiVirgilio Sports Complex.

Camp will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day for baseball players ages 6 to 14 that play in the Rostraver and BVA Youth organizations.

Cost is $75 per player paid by cash or check made payable to RYBA. Discounts are available for households with more than one player.

Please include child’s full name, date of birth, team or age group your child plays on currently.

Steel City Basketball League registering players

Registration for the new girls Steel City Basketball League can be completed online. Those interested can register at steelcitysbl.com.

Boys interested can register on Marx’s Court Time’s Facebook page for a new boys’ league.

The league will continue in the same format as the former MVI Summer Basketball League.
