Carole L. Stofan — Belle Vernon

Carole L. Stofan, 86, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Magnolia Gardens, Southern Pines, N.C. A daughter of the late William and Delma Trozzo Stofan, she was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 25, 1937. Carole was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst, N.C., and was a former member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. She resided most of her life in North Belle Vernon prior to moving to North Carolina in 2009 to be close to her brother. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Ellie Stofan of Southern Pines, N.C.; many beloved cousins, including Joanie Wassilchalk of Belle Vernon; two nieces and one nephew. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-9295300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory. com. Prayers of transfer will be in the funeral home at 9 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
