Carole Jean Moon, age 81, of Dravosburg, Pa., died on May 28, 2024. Born Nov. 6, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of the late Paul and Doro thy Beam Linn and the wife of the late Dale Eugene Moon Sr. Carole grew up in Duquesne, Pa., and graduated from Duquesne High School in 1960. She was a faithful member of the former St. Peter’s Church in McKeesport and then Corpus Christi Church. She is a current member of Saints Joachim and Anne Catholic Parish (St. Michael’s Church in Elizabeth), where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity. She was also a member of the Dravosburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and served on the board of directors for Richland Cemetery. Carole is survived by her children, Dale E. (Beth) Moon Jr. of Jefferson Hills and Dawn (Dan) Mowat of Rostraver Township; brothers, James (Arleen) Linn of Dravosburg and Paul (Judy) Linn of Dravosburg; grandchildren, Devyn (Anthony Stetson) Moon, Bayli (Michael Krieger) Moon, Danny Mowat and Daleah Mowat; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She absolutely cherished her grandchildren, her church and her dog. Carole was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Missy. Family and friends will gather from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at STRIFFLERS OF DRAVOSBURG/ WEST MIFFLIN INC., 740 Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034, 412678-6192. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at St. Joachim and Anne Catholic Parish, 101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth, PA 15037, St. Michael’s Church.
