Sara ‘Sally’ Louise Seaman Woods – Charleroi, formerly of Monongahela
CHARLEROI, FORMERLY OF MONONGAHELA Sara “Sally” Louise Seaman Woods, 91, of Charleroi, formerly of Monongahela, died Monday, May 27, 2024, at home sur rounded by her f a m i l y. She was born Sept. 17, 1932, in New Eagle, daughter of Eugene Thomas and Mildred Simpson Seaman. Sally was a 1950 graduate of Monongahela High School. After taking care of her family for many years, she worked at First Federal Bank as a teller. She was an active member of Christian Center Church in Rostraver, where she was treasurer of the Mary and Martha women’s group and was affectionately known as a “prayer warrior.” Sally met the love of her life, Ted, in 1951 on a blind date at the movie theater. She knew he was the one and they were married a year later on March 28, 1952. They shared a special, unconditional love that spanned over seven decades. Sally loved Ted (and his beautiful red hair) and her family more than anything. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (George) Quigley of Elizabeth; daughter-in-law, Sally Woods of Monongahela; sonin- law, Wayne (Amy) Parnell of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Lyndsay (Chris) Bolin, Keith (Michelle) Woods, Jack David (Stephanie) Woods, Joseph “Joe” Parnell, twins, Hannah (Jarret) Ross and Justin Parnell and Joshua Savarino; four great-grandchildren, Carter and Emmett Bolin, Madison Woods and Ellie Woods; sister-in-law, Trudy (George) Brown of Danville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Allen Woods, who died Jan. 23, 2024; son, John
