Sharon Boyd Taylor, 81, of Sugar Grove, Ill., left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2024. Sharon joined her husb and, James Taylor Jr., who passed away Sept. 12, 2016. She was born Feb. 9, 1943, to the late Glenn and Mary Ellenberger Boyd in Charleroi, Pa. She graduated from Rostraver High School with the Class of 1961. In May 1963, Sharon married Jim and enjoyed traveling the world with him and the many countries where they were stationed during Jim’s military career. She had a special fondness for England, traveling back many times since their retirement. Sharon leaves behind a daughter, Tracey Taylor (Hagan); and son, James Taylor III. Tracey and her husband Tim lived in Sugar Grove, Ill. with their four children, Timothy Jr. (Meghan), Erin (John) Pilmer, Jared (fiancée Gina) and niece Tressa. Jim and his wife Michelle live in Pennsylvania with their two sons, Jimmy (Caitlin) and Joseph. Sharon especially loved spending time with her four great-grandsons, Callahan and Wesley Hagan and JJ and Graham Pilmer. She also leaves behind four siblings, Glenn (Joan), Sandy (Bob) Davidson, Mel (Marguerite) and Francene (Bill) Cox.

Sharon will be buried with her husband Jim in Arlington National Cemetery on a date to be determined.
