Painting project in California

PennWest California student Madeline Curtis painted a sign for the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity Monday afternoon on a brick wall along Wood Street in California. Curtis, a digital media technology major from Harborcreek, Pa., volunteered to design and paint the 80-foot art project to replace an old painting. When it’s completed, the sign will show the name of the Alpha Kappa Lamba Chi chapter in purple, yellow and white. Curtis has designed and completed outdoor murals and signposts in other local communities, including a mural for Hose Company 27 Fire Department in Erie, Pa.
