Monessen makes payment for sewer project

Monessen paid WEC Engineers $128,985 Tuesday for work completed on Phase 4 of the sewer rehabilitation project a month after city officials argued the engineering company was not effectively communicating additional costs. 

In a special meeting, Monessen council voted to pay WEC more than $300,000 for its work on the city’s sewer rehabilitation project, which also included $171,381 for the company’s effort in Phase 3.
