Roberta Franks, 78, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. Daughter of the late Hamilton and Sophie Lynn, she was born on August 20, 1945. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Roberta was a former member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene. She was the co-owner and operator with her husband of the former B&R Car Care until their retirement in 2001. Roberta loved cooking, gardening, traveling to casinos, and her cats. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Franks; a son and daughter in-law, Brian K. and Kelly Franks of Pricedale; two grandchildren, Brian L. Franks of Elizabeth Township and Aaron Franks of Pricedale; and her siblings, Mary Ann (Rudy) Labrasca of Dubois, Veronica Towman of Rostraver Township, Betty Lynn of Charleroi, Gloria Alonzo of Rostraver Township, and Hammy Lynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Joe Franks, in 1968, and Randy Lee Franks in 1998; and two brothers, Johnny Lynn and Robert “Sonny” Lynn. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Mary Kay Glunt officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery.
