Darla Jean Todd, 80, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 9, 2024, in her home. She was born Aug. 22, 1943, in New Eagle, daughter of Daniel and Carson Leezer. Darla was a graduate of Monongahela High School. She was employed in the offices at Monongahela Ford and MetLife Insurance Company in Belle Vernon, as well as Dr. Fernand N. Parent’s office in Monongahela, where she retired. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monongahela. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club girls and going on family vacations to Rehoboth Beach and Deep Creek. Darla loved going on bus trips with Lenzer Bus Tours. She is survived by her son, Glenn (Stephanie) Todd of Cranberry Township; four grandchildren, Justin (fiancée, Megan) Todd, Kevin Todd, Glenn Russell Todd and Emily Todd; and two brothers, Daniel Leezer of Finleyville and Barry Leezer of Monongahela. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Costa; and her companion of 33 years, James Richard Hommey. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Memorial contributions may be made to Fix ‘Ur Cat, 222 Hall Ave., Washington, PA  15301. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
