Mary Ann Kokoska, 91, of Monongahela, died Friday, May 3, 2024, at The Residence at Hilltop in Monongahela. She was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Elrama, the daughter of George and Hermina Russler Hummer. In her younger years, Mary Ann dedicated much of her life to caring for her siblings and later in life caring for her husband. She was a member of the former St. Anthonys Parish in Monongahela. She loved traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Wheeling and the Meadows and enjoyed playing bingo in New Eagle and Carroll Township. She is survived by her son, Randall (Mary Jean) Kokoska of Livonia, Mich.; daughter, Michele (Martin “Pickles”) Lorenzo of Rostraver Township; six grandchildren, Lianne Granata, Andrew Kokoska, Rose Lehner, Martin Lorenzo, Shane Lorenzo and Tara Lorenzo-Hendershot; and seven great-grandchildren, Gianna Lorenzo, Noah Lehner, Antonio Lorenzo, Sienna Lehner, Jase Hendershot, Mia Hendershot and Lucas Granata. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Kokoska, who died June 1, 2015; three sisters, Margaret Reynolds, Catherine Myor and Minnie Stump; and four brothers, John, Frank, Fred and Albert Hummer. Private visitations and funeral services were held at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela. Interment followed in Monongahela Cemetery.
