James Michael Santello Jr. – Donora

James Michael Santello Jr., 86, of Donora, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born June 6, 1937, in New. Eagle, son of the late James Santello and the late Ann Santello. James retired 22 years ago from USX Clairton Works, where he was employed for 28 years as a machine operator. He loved to walk in the park, garden, play with his cat Sprinkles and dance with his beloved wife. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his first wife, Aurelie Adamcik Santello; stepdaughter, Rosemary Domenick; a daughter, Maria Natali; a son, Anthony “Tony” Santello; and a sister, Anna Marie Santello. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Irene Steiner Pienkowski Santello; stepchildren, Michael Pienkowski and Thomas (Kathy) Pienkowski; grandchildren, Matthew (Christina) Pienkowski, Laura (Jason) Swinchock, Jenna Domenick, Brad Natali and Ryan (Arelle) Natali; a son-in-law, John Domenick; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Annabella and Christian; and his cat, Sprinkles. He’s also survived by the Steiner family; and a brother, Ron Santello. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900. Private visitation and funeral services were held at the family’s request.
