BVA board OKs CWCTC, IU tentative budget

The Belle Vernon Area school board approved preliminary budgets for the Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center and the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit at Monday’s meeting. The spending plans, which cover the 2024-25 fiscal year, passed by an 8-0 margin with Director Stephanie Quinn absent and Vice President Janis Niemiec voting over the phone. The budget still needs to be balanced before a final vote is taken, according to Chief Financial Officer Crystal Clark.
