Richard Keith Williams – Monessen

By obits

Richard Keith Williams, aka “Kenny” passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, surrounded by family and his significant other, Melony, joining his parents in their eternal home. A native of Monessen, Kenny went on to join the U.S. Air Force after graduating from Monessen High School in 1976. After retiring from the military, Kenny first found his calling with his vibrant spirit as a chef and a master bartender in Williamsburg, Va., where he shared his skills working for Red Lobster, Second St. Grille and J.M. Randall’s. After moving back to Monessen, he continued his work as a chef until he decided that he preferred to work, caring for others as a caregiver with SPHS and Brightstar. Kenny’s fighting spirit and strength endured throughout his entire illness, continually keeping a smile on his face even through his pain. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Code Price; father, Richard Williams Jr.; stepfather, Leonard Price; maternal grandmother, Rose Code; paternal grandmother, Rose Williams; and one nephew, Jarae Jennings. Kenny leaves behind three children, Tracy (Vedo) Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., Kristopher Williams of Hampton, Va., and Jaquatter “Tink” (JaQuan) Hayes of Williamsburg, Va.; five grandchildren, Traevin, Raevin, Diamond, Kristian and Jasiah; two sisters, Chuan Williams and Jolene (Anthony) Moye, both of Pittsburgh; one brother, Emir (April) Williams of McDonough, Ga.; the love of his life and significant other, Melony Cook of Donora; along with a host of other family and friends. Everyone who knew Kenny knew that he loved to dance. He’s now at peace, dancing around heaven. He will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024. Services will follow beginning at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Holmes officiating at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 20 Brushton Lane, Charleroi, PA 15022. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062, 724-684-4877. Trudy L. Taylor in charge.
