Bobby G. Duvall, 82, of Fredericktown, Pa., Deemston Borough, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Washington Hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1941, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late John and Margaret Peluchette Duvall. Bobby was a 1959 graduate of California Area High School. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Duvall was employed as a stocker, along with various other positions, at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Allenport, from where he retired. Bobby was a member of American Legion Post No. 744 in Marianna, where he enjoyed talking to everyone and never missed signing the book. He was a member of the Deemston Grange and had served on Deemston Borough Council. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping with his wife, bingo and watching cowboy shows such as “Gunsmoke” and “Bonanza.” He was also known for loving his Buick cars and attending the American Legion Baseball World Series every year in Shelby, N.C. On May 25, 1968, he married Sharon Morton Duvall, who survives. They celebrated 55 years of marriage. Also surviving are two children, Lisa Duvall (Richard Jones) of Fredericktown, Pa., and Lori Waris (Robert) of Shelby, N.C.; four grandchildren, Molly Jones, Alexus Waris, Shelby Jones Rausch (Chad) and Richard Jones III (Mariah); two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Sawyer Jones and another due in August, baby boy Rausch; two sisters, Loretta Siebold of the state of California, and Margaret Brown (Tom) of Bentleyville, Pa.; numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews; and grand-dogs, Tucker Maxwell Jones and Odie Franklin Waris. Bobby was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, David L. and Delores Duvall. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME LTD., 2830 Main St., Beallsville, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, with Pastor James Myers officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marianna American Legion, 1734 Main St., Marianna, PA 15345, or Marianna VFD, 84 Broad St., Marianna, PA 15345.
