Brewster honored at chamber event

State Sen. Jim Brewster, D-McKeesport, who is retiring at the end of this year, received an award of recognition Friday at the annual legislative luncheon held by the Mon Yough Area Chamber of Commerce. Brewster, who served as mayor of McKeesport before being elected to the state legislature, was recognized for his efforts in developing parts of Western Pennsylvania. Brewster thanked the crowd of about 140 people at The Georgetown Centre in Pleasant Hills.
