CASD leader addresses false social media claims about educating immigrant students

It’s no secret Charleroi Area School District administrators have a lot of challenges when it comes to educating new immigrant students. It starts, in some cases, with hurdling over a language barrier, but spreads across all branches of the educational system from meals, standardized testing to proper placement, immunizations and records. Regardless of those challenges, the district is legally bound by the U.S. Constitution that they can’t turn a child away.
