Charles Edmund Schumacher, 83, of Stevensville, Md., passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at The Barnette Center in Centreville, Md. He was born May 27, 1940, the son of the late Edmund Schumacher and the late Helene Lena Blotzer Schumacher. In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Bryant) Schumacher; two sisters, Barbara Barch and Margaret Lazzari; brother, Philip Barch; and a nephew, Philip Barch. Surviving to cherish his memory, a daughter, Deneen (Tom) Calabrese of Bridgeville; two sons, Charles (Lani) Schumacher of Denton, Md., and Andrew (Jennifer) Schumacher of Stevensville, Md.; and six grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Donora Campus.
