Bearcats’ freshman Gonglik dominates Cougars

The race for the crown in Section 3-2A will undoubtedly be a close one, but Bentworth and freshman pitcher Sydney Gonglik made a statement to the rest of the conference with an 8-0 victory at Charleroi on Monday. Gonglik went all seven innings in the win, allowing four hits and no walks while striking out 16 batters for the Cougars (4-1, 1-1). Offensively, she went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs, leading the Bearcats (4-2, 2-0) in hits and runs batted in.
