First responders who spent most of Wednesday helping victims of rising waters in river communities along the Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers didn’t have much time to rest as they were called back out to a house fire on the 400 block of Eighth Street Donora after the skies had finally cleared.
Around 6 p.m., firefighters from Donora, Charleroi and Carroll Township were called to the 800 block of 8th Street for a reported house fire with possible entrapment.
After firefighters arrived on scene, crews from Bentleyville were called in to assist.
One person, who was identified by first responders as the homeowner,  made it safely out of the home before the fire spread to a neighboring house.
