Private funeral services were held for Madlynn C. Turkovich Fedrick, 78, of Monongahela, Carroll Township, who passed away March 24, 2024, in Mon Valley Care Center. Born June 25, 1945, in Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret Calvano Turkovich. Madlynn attended Mon Valley Catholic and graduated from Donora Sr. High School in 1963. Following graduation, she worked in Pittsburgh for several years prior to getting a job as a secretary for the Pennsylvania American Water Company until her retirement, there she met her future husband Morris “Moe” Fedrick. They were married on May 23, 1970. Madlynn was Catholic by faith and was well known for her nut rolls and raviolis with her famous homemade sauce and her endless love for baking and her family. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne M. Fedrick of Monongahela and David M. (Lisa) Fedrick of Rostraver Township; one granddaughter, Chelsea L. Fedrick; and a great-granddaughter, Paisley Ann; a sister, Margaret Turkovich of Donora; one brother-in-law, John Breznican of Clairton; and a sister-in-law, Michelle Turkovich of Monessen; and a nephew, Adam Turkovich of the state of Washington. Madlynn was preceded in death by her husband, Morris “Moe,” who died March 31, 2006; two brothers Martin and Joseph Turkovich; and a nephew, Justin Turkovich.
